Fabrication TIG and MIG Welding

MIG and TIG welding both use an electric current to create the weld. The difference between the two is the way the arc is used. MIG (metal inert gas) welding uses a feed wire that constantly moves through the gun to create the spark, and then melts to form the weld. TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding uses long rods to fuse two metals directly together. We have fully equipped MIG and TIG welding bays for the skilled welding of mild steels, stainless steels, and aluminum components.

We manufacture our own dedicated jigs and fixtures in-house to assist with maintaining accuracy, quality, and speed during our welding process. We at Perfmet carry out projects from design concept through to delivering the finished product or component anywhere in Australia. We can guarantee you the best quality at a competitive price just like nowhere.

Materials Used in MIG and TIG Welding:

Both MIG and TIG welding can be used on a wide range of metals, with MIG welding more suitable for thick materials and TIG more appropriate for thin materials. Typical weld materials include aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel.

Why choose our service?

Our welding services can fulfill any requirements. Our Perth based metal engineering facility is equipped to meet heavy industry demands. Our engineers are skilled, professional and have years of experience that’s why we are known as the best and reliable metal fabrication service provider.

  • Our welders are highly skilled in intricate and precision work
  • Small or large batch production
  • Robotic machine welding
  • Range of materials: stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel
  • Assured quality at competitive price

Furthermore, MIG welding sheet metal is ideal when a certain material needs to be welded in a particular position. It will deliver a great weld seam with as few smudges as possible. It is ideal for magnesium, carbon steel, plus alloys like nickel and bronze. TIG is most commonly used to weld stainless steels and non-ferrous metals like aluminum, magnesium and copper alloys. We at perfmet focus on accuracy, innovation and customization. Perfmet engineering is a reliable and professional engineering company offering comprehensive product solutions. We pride ourselves on efficiency and accuracy, maintaining a high standard of excellence in whatever we do.

We can provide a full range of fabrication services including design CAD, band sawing, CNC router cutting, metal sheet rolling and more. Contact (08) 9209 1011 us on our team of highly skilled engineers to discuss your welding or metal fabrication needs today.
